David E. Farina brings more than 45 years of investment experience to Stifel. He began his career in 1980 with E.W. Smith in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and through a series of acquisitions, joined Stifel in 2007—remaining in his position through several acquisitions throughout his career.
Over the years, David has worked extensively with personal portfolios, institutional municipal and local government funds, corporations, religious and nonprofit organizations. With a strong focus on retirement planning, he specializes in defined benefit and defined contribution plans, including 401(k), 457, and 403(b) plans, as well as deferred compensation strategies. His leadership role positions him as the quarterback of the Farina Wealth Management Group.
David earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from The College of New Jersey. He has been a member of Stifel Chairman’s Council* and similar recognition programs at predecessor firms for more than 25 years.
Outside of his professional work, David serves as pastor at Calvary Full Gospel Church in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Elaine, have been married for more than 45 years, reside in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, and are proud grandparents of nine.

Jonathan D. (JD) Farina, Portfolio Analyst, brings nearly two decades of experience in the financial services industry. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses. With a focus on service and integrity, JD supports the team in developing and customizing financial strategies designed to help clients pursue their unique financial goals. He also analyzes income and cash flow to help mitigate risk to clients’ wealth throughout retirement. As a multigenerational team, JD has had the honor of working into the second and third generation of client relationships.
Outside of his responsibilities at Stifel, JD invests his time with middle school and high school students at his local church. JD resides in Yardley, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Christina, and three children.
Michael Becker, Financial Advisor Associate, began his financial services career in 2006 and joined Stifel in 2009. Prior to his financial services career, he spent 15 years as a medicinal chemist in drug discovery with firms in big pharma, biotech, and his own startup company. Michael supports the team in providing a relationship-focused client experience through a highly customized wealth management process. He works collaboratively to develop investment strategies that align with client objectives, expectations, and risk tolerance. He and the team provide an active and tactical investment approach, using the modern portfolio theory, designed to help clients generate a steady stream of income during their retirement years.
Bryan Nolan, Client Relationship Manager, began his financial services career in 2017 and joined Stifel in 2024. Prior to joining Stifel, he served as a financial advisor at Vanguard. Bryan earned a bachelor degree from the University of Colorado and an MBA from Philadelphia University. He has obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification and holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
Outside the office, Bryan enjoys golfing, playing music, home improvement projects, and most of all, spending time at the beach with his wife, son, and their dog, Olive.
Barbara Lee Hogan, Registered Investment Associate, has nearly 45 years of financial services industry experience, spanning from E.W. Smith Company in 1981 through a series of acquisitions until joining Stifel in 2007. Barbara believes that a key element in succeeding in life and reaching goals is that one has to be willing to make sacrifices. In her nearly 45-plus years in the investment industry, she has devoted herself to building strong bonds with clients. She strives to gain an understanding of clients’ requirements and provide them with the services they need to help pursue their financial goals, all the while assisting them to be more knowledgeable and comfortable in their investment lives.
Maryann Hall, Client Service Associate, has been with the Farina Wealth Management Group for more than 40 years. Her practice in the world of finance has varied from investment management to client services. Currently, she serves as a liaison between clients and the investment team members. Maryann’s vast and in-depth experience uniquely qualifies her to address client service needs in a timely and professional manner.
Jacqueline A. Caywood, Senior Registered Client Service Associate, has more than 25 years of financial industry experience and joined Stifel in 2010. She holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses. Prior to joining Stifel, Jacqueline held similar positions at Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. She strives to make the client experience enjoyable by delivering the highest level of service possible.
